DescriptionThe purpose of this webinar is to walk you through the process of abstract development and submission to help you create an excellent abstract for submission for the (virtual) 15th International Family Nursing Conference. Samples of abstracts for different types of work will be shared. Tips on what to include under each abstract heading will be highlighted. The goal is that your abstract will be accepted for the conference! The abstract submission deadline is October 26, 2020. Ample time for audience input and questions will be provided during the webinar.
Who Should Attend
Nurses who are thinking about presenting papers or posters at the 15th International Family Nursing Conference. Nurses from around the world who are engaged or interested in family research, practice, education, and policy are encouraged to present.
Learning Objectives
- Review sample abstracts for varied types of projects (e.g., quantitative and qualitative studies, methodological papers, educational and clinical projects, policy papers) to identify key components of successful abstracts.
- Participate in the process of refining abstracts for increased clarity and organization, and scientific rigor.
- Identify the major steps in the online abstract submission process.

If English is not your first language, you do not need to talk during the webinar. You will have the opportunity to type questions and/or provide comments. You just need a computer, internet connection, and speakers. An archival recording of the webinar will be available on the IFNA website.
