Developed by Marilyn M. Friedman, RN, PhD and described in “Family Nursing: Research, Theory, & Practice”, 5^th edition (2003) edited by Friedman, Bowden, and Jones. An earlier edition of this book was translated into Japanese in 1996 but is currently out of print.
