Dr. Yemisi Okikiade Oyegbile, PhD, MPH, B.Sc. (Nsg. Ed.) is a post-doctoral fellow at the Durban University of Technology, Africa. Through her research, she developed an intervention model for the management of caregiver burden for family caregivers of patients with end-stage renal disease in Nigeria. As one of the founding members of the IFNA African Chapter she continues to research the promotion of family health and involvement in acute care. Her extensive scope of work spans the education of nursing students in Nigeria, the University of KwaZulu-Natal, and Durban University of Technology, South Africa. She is currently involved in the supervision of Honours and Masters students. In the community, she promotes awareness of hygienic habits and supplies hygiene products to girls from disadvantaged backgrounds.
