The IFNA Family Nursing Practice Committee has developed an IFNA Position Statement on Generalist Competencies for Family Nursing Practice that is now available in 3 versions in English with translations in Chinese, Danish, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, and Thai. IFNA Practice Committee members who participated in the development of the Position Statement included: Kathryn Hoehn Anderson (USA), France Dupuis (Canada), Janice M. Bell (Canada), Norma Krumwiede (USA), Cristina Garcia-Vivar (Spain), Li-Chi Chiang (Taiwan), Michiko Moriyama (Japan), Francine de Montigny (Canada), Maria do Céu Barbieri-Figueiredo (Portugal), and Christina Nyirati (USA). Feedback was provided by the IFNA Education Committee and IFNA member feedback was solicited. The IFNA Position Statement on Generalist Competencies for Family Nursing Practice was approved by the IFNA Board of Directors on February 12, 2015.
