Dr. Darunee Jongudomkarn Studies the Experience of Pain in Children

Dr. Darunee Jongudomkarn, ThailandDr. Darunee Jongudomkarn, Khon Khaen University, Thailand, has published several studies about the experience of pain in children.  Her work recently came to the attention of the World Health Organization (WHO) after they retrieved several her publications on the experience of pain in children in Thailand. In February 2015, she was invited to join a meeting of the Strategic Advisory Group of Experts (SAGE) in Geneva, Switzerland, to consult with WHO on a review of strategies to mitigate pain during childhood immunization.

Dr. Darunee is a foundational leader in family nursing in Thailand and helped establish the Family Nursing Society of Thailand in 2003. The Family Nursing Society of Thailand launched the Thailand Journal of Family Nursing in July 2013.
