University of the West of Scotland to Offer Graduate Family Health Nursing Program
The University of the West of Scotland, Faculty of Health, Education and Social Sciences, School of Health, Nursing & Midwifery, will begin offering graduate level education for the Family Health Nursing role in Europe. E.U. Nursing Leaders Receive Funding to Collate and Disseminate Family Nursing Resources
Nursing leaders in the European Union received funding for a 2-year project to collate and disseminate family nursing literature, resources, and expertise related to Family Health Nursing. The collaboration involves colleagues from Scotland, Portugal, Poland, Austria, Germany, Slovenia, and Romania: http://www.uws.ac.uk/familyhealthnursing. The Final Conference of this group was held in Porto, Portugal, September 5 and 6, 2013. Update: This project was completed at the end of November 2013 with the development of 4 modules which have been translated into English. Consideration is being given to develop graduate level education in Family Health Nursing in several sites in Europe.
