Dr. Jill Bally Advances Nursing Care of Families with a Child Experiencing Life Limiting Illness

Jill Bally RN, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Her teaching and research are focused in pediatric nursing care of children and their families who are impacted by life limiting and life threatening illnesses. Currently, Dr. Bally is involved in interdisciplinary research aimed at improving family nursing care through the development and testing of an intervention to support these families psychosocial and bereavement needs. This research stems from her previous clinical nursing practice in acute care pediatrics and informs her teaching in undergraduate nursing in which thorough family assessment and comprehensive family care are emphasized.
