Journal of Family Nursing, SAGE Publications is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes scholarly work on family nursing research, practice, education, and policy issues related to families in health and illness. The mission of the journal is to extend understanding about the relationships between families, illness, and health, and how practices based on this understanding can transform healthcare offered to families. Both “family as unit” and “family as context” are represented. Additionally, there is a strong mandate to represent cultural diversity and families across the life cycle. Interdisciplinary and collaborative perspectives are encouraged, as are international contributions.
