Laura Gultekin, PhD, FNP-BC, RN, is an assistant professor and currently holds the Suzanne Bellinger Feetham Professor of Nursing at the University of Michigan School of Nursing in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA. Her research focuses on the experiences and needs of families who are homeless, with an emphasis on the adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and trauma that contribute to housing instability. As the Suzanne Bellinger Feetham Professor of Nursing, she is able to devote much of the academic year to developing community-academic research partnerships that provide context and guidance for developing and implementing interventions that promote recovery from housing instability. In addition, she teaches health promotion theory for graduate nursing students and in the Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program, providing a family nursing lens to advanced practice education.
