Dr. Fabie Duhamel, Professor and Co-Director of the Center of Excellence in Family Nursing at the University of Montreal, Canada is the editor of a new 3rd edition of a family nursing textbook written in the French language: La santé et la famille: Une approche systémique en soins infirmiers [Health and Family: A Systems Approach in Nursing].

This third edition, published by Cheneliere, describes the clinical application of Family Systems Nursing. More examples of therapeutic conversations, with excerpts of verbatim exchanges between a nurse and family members, are included in this 3rd edition as well as examples of how to document nurses’ analyses of the therapeutic conversation.  In addition, the chapters include pedagogical components such as learning objectives, numerous clinical examples, questions to the reader, and points to remember to facilitate the learning of the approach and the development of reflective practice in family nursing.
