Kristin Lutz, RN, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in Portland, Oregon, USA. She teaches courses on qualitative research methods and nursing knowledge development to nursing graduate students. She also supervises graduate students’ practica in teaching and in community health, and mentors PhD students conducting qualitative research and family nursing research. Her research focuses on: 1) the transition to parenthood and early parenting within high-risk contexts (e.g. domestic violence and preterm birth), and 2) diversity in nursing and other health professions.
