Honor Families and Family Nurses is an initiative of International Family Nursing Foundation to raise funds for supporting student participation in International Family Nursing Conferences and for funding pilot projects by IFNA members in family nursing research, education and practice.
Kristen Abbott-Anderson – Minnesota State University, Mankato USA celebrates the election of Dr. Kristen Abbott-Anderson to the International Family Nurses Association Board of Directors. David and Wendy Cook – David and his mum Wendy and their family are from the UK and are truly inspirational; David is a lovely young man who has lived with a long-term kidney condition from childhood, despite the challenges this presents he has worked hard to achieve his life goals, including going to university and working in a job that interests him. Wendy established and is Director of a very successful charity the Nephrotic Syndrome Trust which supports other families living with Nephrotic Syndrome. Elizabeth Evans – Liz Evans was not only one of my favorite aunts and incredibly kind to me in my life, but a truly selfless and caring nurse in County Cork, Ireland. She dedicated much of her career to caring for burn patients and cancer patients before her untimely death. She was and is an inspiration to me and greatly missed by all. (Karen Lyons)

Therese Reimann – My cousin Therese Reimann. Therese is a nurse leader in a community care service in a rural area of Switzerland. She is and has been dedicated to patients and their families throughout the years. She has also been very attentive during the pandemic that patients and families could connect and that the community nurses were safe in supporting the home-dwelling patients and their families. Joan Vitello – Our dean Joan Vitello has recently lost both her beloved husband and their ‘fur child’ Max within a matter of a couple weeks. Despite all of this she has remained the matriarch of her family, our IFNA family by generously supporting RAC call for pledges, as well as our school of nursing family.
