Audrey Roach, RN-BSN, CNRN, CPN, is an experienced pediatric neuroscience nurse at Children’s Wisconsin who is currently a PhD student at the College of Nursing, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, USA. Her research focuses on improving the health of individuals and families experiencing spina bifida. Specifically, she is exploring the experience of parents who have internationally adopted children with spina bifida. Parents arrive with minimal knowledge about their child’s rare and complex diagnosis. Therefore, nurses provide education, support, and encouragement for the family.
Audrey is the recipient of funding from the International Family Nursing Foundation to present her research at the 15th International Family Nursing Conference.
