Dr. Jerry Nutor Focuses on Global Health in Maternal and Child Health

Jerry John Nutor, PhD, RN is an assistant professor, University of California, San Francisco. His research interests focus on global health, specifically maternal and child health and the prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV. He is also interested in understanding the impact of environmental, social, and economic factors on women and children, with particular concern with HIV/AIDS in low resources countries. He founded Africa Interdisciplinary Health Conference to create a platform for the various healthcare providers in both clinical and academic/research settings to meet and discuss their research findings to promote evidence-based practices related to the health sector in Africa.
