Alexandra Hodson Advances Knowledge about Family Caregiving in Advanced Heart Failure

Alexandra Hodson, MN, RN, is an undergraduate instructor at the University of Regina Faculty of Nursing, Saskatoon Campus in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Her graduate research focused on the experience of family caregiving for individuals with advanced heart failure. Her work outlined the state of the literature related to the experience of family caregiving for persons with advanced heart failure which illustrated the unique characteristics of this population as well as identified gaps that require further research investigation. Alexandra Hodson currently serves on the Saskatchewan Council of Aging Caregiver Committee where she develops and leads programming that assist families experiencing the strain of caregiving.
