Greetings from the Family Measures Subcommittee of the IFNA Research Committee!
We are pleased to announce a new resource, the Family Measures Project, that we think many of you will find very helpful. The main goal of this project is to give IFNA members access to up-to-date information about select family measures.
To date, we have collected information on 14 family measures commonly used by IFNA members. While the amount of available information varies from one measure to the next, we have collected key information such as:
- Citation information for the original article describing how the measure was developed and tested
- A link to the website that shows how to obtain the measure (if available)
- The purpose of the measure
- Psychometrics for the measure
- Scoring procedures
- Norms/comparative data
- Populations the measure has been used with
- Languages the measure is available in
- Strengths and limitations that have been identified for the measure
- A reference list of studies in which the measure was used
If you go to IFNA 2023 Family Measures Project, you will find an overview of this project and a document for each of the 14 measures that includes the names of the IFNA members who collected the information. If you are interested in helping to collect information on other family measures for this project, please contact Marcia Van Riper.
