Dr. Kim Mooney-Doyle from the University of Maryland and Dr. Cynthia Danford from the Cleveland Clinic Health System jointly presented a lecture on The Nature of Family Research. Drs. Mooney-Doyle and Danford co-chair IFNA’s Research Committee. They discussed the nature and purpose of family nursing, provided examples of family research approaches, and identified resources (e.g., Journal of Family Nursing, the International Family Nursing Association (IFNA) to help understand and advance family research). The featured event-the 6th Qilu International Young Nursing Scholars Forum(QIYNSF) was concluded on Saturday May 28, 2022. The forum has received about 13 thousand views and many positive comments. At the forum, the Dean & Professor, Dr. Wang Kefang hosted the opening ceremony. Professor Xu Cuiping, the President of Shandong Nursing Association, and Professor Liu Qiji, the Deputy President of the Cheeloo College of Medicine Shandong University delivered opening remarks and welcomed all the experts, young scholars from interdisciplinary backgrounds, and audience. Professor Emerita Dr. Mary Palmer from the University of Carolina at Chapel Hill, Professor Dr. Holly Wei from the University of Louisville, and President & Professor Patricia Davidson from the University of Wollongong shared their wise words as keynote speakers, which inspired and encouraged young scholars to seize the opportunities in this changing world and to be persistent, determined, and visionary in nursing research, education, and practice.
