Noriko Kawahara, RN, PHN, MS, is a Professor and Dean of Graduate School of Nursing, Kyoto Tachibana University, Japan. She teaches family nursing in an Advanced Nurse Practitioner program at the graduate level. Her research focuses on family nursing in home care, especially in underpopulated areas of Japan. She has provided nursing care for families in disaster prevention program through her research and incorporates multiculturalism in all of her nursing practices.
She has served on the Board of Directors and as a committee member of the Japanese Association for Research in Family Nursing (JARFN) and contributed to advances in family nursing education, practice, and research in Japan. In 2019, she served as the Chairperson of the 26th Annual Conference of JARFN.
