Social Media Best Practices
We encourage you to be a part of the #IFNC14 conversation online and share your experiences. To help you in doing so, we’ve gathered a list of some social media best practices:
• Tag @IFNAorg on Twitter for the opportunity to get retweeted by the event handle and be seen by other attendees.
• For the latest updates during the conference, be sure to follow the IFNA social media channels.
• Use the #IFNC14 hashtag to appear in IFNA conversations
• Having trouble staying on top of all the #IFNC14-related Twitter conversations? Create a #IFNC14 Twitter list! Curate #IFNC14-related Twitter accounts into a personal list so you can navigate the #IFNC14 Twittersphere without getting lost.
•Once you’ve built your curated Twitter list, engage with other members of the community by retweeting, @replying them, and starting conversations!
• Promote live content at the event! Social media has become a platform for people to share their experiences. We want you to share your #IFNC14 experience!
• Links work better if you shorten them. Shorten your links at http://bit.ly/ or http://ow.ly/
• Visual content, such as photos and videos, is much more effective at increasing sharing/engagement compared with text-only content.
• The community wants to hear from you, not from a robot. It’s important you add personality behind your social content. When in doubt, be yourself!
