This webinar is an opportunity for participants to expand their research skill-set. Much of family research entails interviewing individual family members. There are unique challenges to conducting health-related family interviews (e.g., addressing sensitive issues, being queried for information) that are not typically addressed in general research methods texts. The seminar will address these.

- Present an overview of the range of structures and approaches for conducting individual family interviews.
- Discuss strategies for ensuring alignment across study aims, conceptual underpinnings, and interview approach and questions.
- Examine the unique challenges of conducting individual family research interviews.
- Provide guidelines for conducting individual family research interviews in cross-cultural studies.
