Program / Event Description:

This webinar will offer an introduction to the use of social media to promote family nursing and maximize your IFNC12 conference experience. Learn how you, as an IFNA member,  can promote your family nursing work and ideas through platforms such as Twitter and LinkedIn. Tips for using the Guidebook app at IFNC12 will be offered. Guidelines for use of social media during the conference will also be discussed.

At the end of the session, participants should be able to:

  1. Appreciate the value of social media to advance the credibility and visibility of family nursing.
  2. Describe how social media can be used to enhance the IFNC12 conference experience.
  3. Describe the common social media platforms that will be available at IFNC12.
  4. Use the Guidebook app to facilitate and personalize the IFNC12 conference experience.
  5. Recognize ethical issues in use of social media as a IFNC12 conference attendee/presenter.
